About me
My name is Rachel and I live with my husband and 3 children on the De Weerdhoeve farmhouse in Rijssen.
Here we enjoy our organic vegetable garden and the many animals. On the property there is a holiday home: www.deweerdhoeve.nl and in the old farmhouse we have a space for coaching, workshops or other small-scale meetings. Also look at www.deweerdhoeve.nl.
When we returned to the farm after 14 years in Dubai in 2020, I started setting up the holiday home. It also immediately became the place where I could introduce my guests to my natural care products. What started out small, quickly became too big for the kitchen table.
What was still missing was my own brand. And so Namashea was born.
Namashea is a combination of the word Namasté and shea butter,
Most people know the word from yoga classes. After the class, you thank the other person. Namasté means "I bow to you" / "I thank you" / "I welcome you" and that fits in with the conditions I set in my search for organic shea butter in Ghana.
I wanted to make sure that what I was selling was a good product.
With respect for nature: handmade, without chemical additives, organically grown and without major temperature differences so that the effect of the shea butter is not affected.
With respect for the women who make the products: because we visited the project in Ghana ourselves, we can say with certainty that this is a very beautiful and honest project. The women can decide for themselves how many hours they want to work and in which part of the process they want to work. In addition, the women themselves get paid and no one else.
I like to learn about how the human body works and so I read about the benefits of foot reflexology. When I had finished several books I signed up to learn it in practice. It was so much fun that I opened my own practice. Massaging works very well with my own shea butter. So come by sometime and choose from the different pure essential oils that I process in the shea butter.
De Weerdhoeve already existed, but is now enriched by Namashea!
"Of course, do good, everyone at his/her own pace and in his/her own way."
